Tip of the Week
Well everyone the growing season is just about at end here in our wonderful, beautiful area that we call home. Most of your plants should be entering there dormancy period, we have had a bit of an extended growing season with this humid weather. However winter will be upon us within the month so if you haven't winterized your yard, beds, and trees now would be the best time to do it. This includes getting your dormant sprays and wrapping your trees. We also have fertilizers to winterize your lawns, and on the subject of lawns now is an excellent time to get your grass seed down. The snow that will be coming well help settle the seed and keep in place and in the spring it will start to germinate!
We also right now are experiencing low light situations for many houseplants, the best advice I can give you is to put your plants in area where they would receive the most light. While avoiding placing them to close to a window, if they are to close to the window you can run the risk of them freezing the best temperature for most house plants is roughly 68 degrees. If these options are not feasible it would be an excellent idea to consider purchasing a full spectrum bulb or grow light system. This will help ensure that your plants stay happy and healthy!
