Tip of the Week
Are earwigs taking over your garden?
Earwigs are flattened and hard insects with pincers. Earwigs feed on ripe fruit, plants, and decaying matter. These insects are nocturnal, so you may find holes in your plants' leaves, but find no bugs. During the day, earwigs are hiding in dark and damp places. Earwigs can also invade houses and they will hide in dark and damp areas of the home.
Delaney's offers a great product, Sluggo Plus, that will help rid your garden of pesky earwigs. You can use Sluggo Plus around vegetables, fruit trees, citrus, berries, ornamentals, shrubs, flowers, trees, lawns, gardens, and in non-commercial greenhouses. Sluggo Plus contains Spinosad. Sluggo Plus also controls cutworms, sowbugs, pillbugs, crickets, slugs, and snails.

*It is important you purchase Sluggo Plus and not just the regular Sluggo, because Sluggo Plus will kill earwigs.
